Our Mission
We started Earth SIMs because we were tired of outdated, surface-level connectivity advice. Too many "best eSIM" articles are written by people who have never left their home country, let alone tried to get reliable internet from a co-working space in Chiang Mai or a campervan in Portugal.
We believe that staying connected shouldn't require a PhD in telecommunications. Whether you're a first-time traveler picking up an eSIM for a two-week trip, a digital nomad bouncing between countries, or a remote worker who needs rock-solid internet to keep their job — you deserve straightforward, tested advice.
That's what we do. We test the products ourselves, collect real data, and tell you what actually works — and what doesn't.
How We Test
Every product we review goes through a structured testing process. We don't just read spec sheets and rewrite marketing copy. Here's how we approach it:
Hands-On Testing
We purchase and activate every product ourselves. No vendor-supplied demo accounts, no "testing" from press releases. If we recommend it, we've used it.
Real-World Conditions
Speed tests run from hotel lobbies, coffee shops, airports, and moving vehicles — not controlled lab environments. We test where you'll actually use these products.
Objective Data
We log speed tests, latency measurements, and coverage results with timestamps and locations. Our reviews cite specific numbers, not vague claims like "fast speeds."
Regular Updates
Connectivity products change constantly — new plans, pricing shifts, coverage expansions. We re-test and update our content regularly so you're never reading stale advice.

Our Experience
The team behind Earth SIMs has collectively traveled to and worked from over 20 countries across Southeast Asia, Europe, Latin America, and beyond. We've dealt with sketchy airport SIM card vendors, configured Starlink dishes on rooftops, troubleshot VPN connections from censored networks, and drained countless mobile hotspot batteries in search of a reliable signal.
This isn't theoretical knowledge. We've sat in a Bali co-working space watching a video call buffer because we picked the wrong eSIM provider. We've been the person at the border crossing frantically trying to activate data before the bus leaves. These experiences are exactly why Earth SIMs exists — so you don't have to learn the hard way.
