Corrections Policy
How to tell us we got something wrong — and what happens next.
We try hard to be accurate. Pricing changes, carriers change plans, and sometimes we simply miss something. When we do, we want to know — and we want to fix it fast and visibly. This page explains how.
How to Report an Error
If you believe something on Earth SIMs is wrong — a price, a speed claim, a coverage statement, a policy term, a name, a date, a broken link — email us:
To help us move quickly, include:
- The article URL (the full https://earthsims.com/... link).
- The exact passage or claim you are flagging.
- The correct information, and — where possible — a link to the authoritative source (vendor page, regulator notice, your own screenshot).
- Your relationship to the claim, if relevant (for example, "I'm the product manager at X and our pricing changed last week").
You do not need to be the subject of the article to report an error. We welcome corrections from readers, competitors, and the companies we cover.
What Counts as a Correction
We distinguish between three types of change:
Factual correction
A claim in the article was incorrect at the time of publication — wrong price, wrong carrier name, wrong policy exclusion, wrong speed, wrong regulatory rule. These are treated as corrections and logged.
Update
A claim was accurate when published but the underlying fact has since changed — a vendor raised prices, a country rolled out 5G, an insurer added an exclusion. These are treated as routine updates and noted via the "Last updated" timestamp on the article. When an update materially changes a ranking or recommendation, we flag the change inline.
Clarification
The claim was accurate but was phrased in a way that a reasonable reader could misread. We rewrite the passage and note the clarification inline if the original phrasing was materially misleading.
Our Response Times
When you send a correction request we commit to:
- Acknowledgement within 2 business days. If you don't hear from us within that window, please resend — email sometimes goes astray.
- Assessment within 5 business days. We review your submission against primary sources and decide whether a correction is warranted.
- Publication within 24 hours of assessment once the correction is confirmed. We correct first and discuss scope later where needed.
These are targets, not contracts, but we take them seriously.
How We Correct
When we make a correction, we do the following:
- Edit the article to fix the error. The corrected passage replaces the incorrect one.
- Add a correction notice inside the article where the change is material. A correction notice states what was originally said, what is now said, and the date of correction. We do not silently rewrite history on material errors.
- Update the "Last updated" timestamp.
- Log the correction in our public corrections log below.
Retractions
Where an entire article is fundamentally flawed — for example, based on faulty source material that misrepresented a product — we may retract it. A retraction means:
- The article is either removed and replaced with a retraction notice at the original URL, or prominently labeled as retracted with the original content preserved for transparency.
- The retraction notice explains what was wrong, why we retracted, and (where appropriate) what we have published in its place.
- Internal links pointing to the retracted article are updated.
Retractions are rare and reserved for content we judge unreliable in its entirety.
What We Will Not Do
- We will not unpublish a negative review because a vendor or affiliate partner is unhappy with it. If a negative claim is factually wrong, we correct the claim. If the claim is accurate, the review stands.
- We will not alter content in exchange for commercial consideration. Pay is not a correction mechanism.
- We will not silently rewrite material errors. Minor typos and formatting issues can be fixed silently; factual changes are logged.
Public Corrections Log
We publish our corrections here. If we've made no logged corrections since the site launched, this section will read accordingly — transparency includes acknowledging when the log is empty.
No corrections logged yet. Earth SIMs launched in February 2026. As corrections are issued, they will be added here with date, affected article, and summary of what changed.
Good-Faith Disagreements
Not every disagreement is a correction. Sometimes a vendor disputes our rating or our interpretation of test results. In those cases:
- We will read your argument carefully and, where we agree, update the article.
- Where we disagree, we will explain why — either privately, or, if the dispute is substantive, with a published note on the article.
- The editorial judgment belongs to Earth SIMs. Ratings and recommendations are not negotiable in exchange for cooperation.
Takedown Requests
If content on Earth SIMs infringes a copyright you hold, or violates another legal right, please send a written request to corrections@earthsims.com including a description of the material, the URL, and your contact information. Legitimate requests are actioned within 7 business days.
