Where to Buy

All three carriers have official counters at Istanbul Airport (IST), Sabiha Gokcen (SAW), Antalya (AYT), and other international airports. Carrier stores are found in every mall. You need your passport for registration.

The IMEI Registration Trap

This is Turkey’s most notorious connectivity issue for long-term visitors:

• What: Turkey requires all foreign phones using a Turkish SIM to be IMEI-registered within 120 days of first use
• After 120 days: Your phone is blocked from all Turkish mobile networks
• Registration cost: Around 20,000 TRY ($600+) at a tax office
